When was Vilnius born? When Grand Duke Gediminas had his dream about the Iron Wolf? What about when the castle was built? 25 January is special for Vilnius, because this was the day that news of the Lithuanian capital set out across Europe.
On 25 July, which is St Christopher’s feast day, Vilnius will become a unique international music arena. The city thanks St Christopher and eagerly awaits its milestone anniversary. In 2022 and 2023, all music-loving residents and guests of Vilnius will be treated to a free music festival in Vingis Park, which is one of the largest open spaces in the city. St Christopher’s Day has long been celebrated in Vilnius, but in 2022 and 2023, it will be on the map of cultural events Lithuania, and the entire world.
